Emma Preston

Emma has been running for five years and is a member of her local running club. She completed the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2019 and loved it so much, including all the training, that she has signed up to run it again through a charity place.

Working with children, and as a mum to two grown-up boys herself, Emma has seen what sport can do to even the quietest child, bringing them out of themselves and helping them to focus on the positive.

Emma’s passion lies with children who have special needs and helping them be part of things that they may not normally be able to do.

“To see children become part of an encouraging community and helping them feel included in everyday activities is very rewarding. It’s an honour to be part of Schools Running Movement and I can’t wait to see the children’s faces at the finish line with their medals.”
