Ben Davis Schools Running Movement North Yorkshire

Ben has only been running for a few years, but in a short time running has completely taken over his life. He began taking running seriously after running the London Marathon in 2016: since then he has run 11 marathons, and in the summer of 2018 he ran an entire lap of Yorkshire, totalling 498 miles in 18 days. He was subsequently awarded “Yorkshire Man of The Year” after raising in excess of £27,000 for CALM, the campaign against living miserably. Ben now works alongside CALM as an ambassador for the charity and is hugely passionate about the benefits of running for our wellbeing as well as our physical health. He now travels internationally leading morning run groups for conference delegates.

“Introducing running to children is incredibly important to me. I wish I had discovered running earlier in life. Anything that gets kids time away from screens and outside moving has my vote. I am incredibly excited about getting involved with Schools Running Movement and feel very proud to have been given the opportunity to bring it to Yorkshire.”
